I think all the parents should have to do 22 sixers since that is how many parents answered trivia but didnt post. Dave and todd would be excluded since they had to wrestle in a previous trivia question.

ReplyDeleteYa, what he said!!!!
ReplyDeleteOn a serious note since you asked for my thoughts Trevor here goes. My son is still only a freshman at Davison & only started attending Davison community Schools a year ago as an 8th grader. The first thing I noticed was how quick the kids at Davison where to befreind the new kid making the transition a lot easier. In my experiences with the students at Davison they are very respectful, polite and just plain good kids. I also am very impressed with the teachers at Davison Community schools. The teachers are genuinly excited about their jobs. They truely care and do a great job of giving our kids a temendous education. The parents at Davison take a hands on aproach to their kids education and in my experiences with baseball, football & wrestling they support their teams in a very positive manner and with great enthusisim. As far as Davison wrestling goes I am very passionate about our program. Our kids have more heart then any other team. They work hard every day & I am proud of and really like this group of kids. As far as the coaches go I wake up every morning excited knowing that my son is being taught by the best coaches in the state, maybe the nation. It is unbelievable to me how many wrestlers leave and suceed in wrestling at the next level and in life in general after being part of the Davison wrestling program. It is also amazing how every one of them come back and give back to the program, they all take great pride in being alumni of Davison wrestling. That is a tribute to coaching!!! I feel very fortunate that my son is at Davison and I am very thankful. Ok now leave me alone Trevor and be careful what you ask for I just wrote a book.
ReplyDeleteOkay if we must comment here goes :) I just want to say that I'm very grateful for the community that we chose to move to 10 years ago....wow did we get lucky....I love the community, schools, athletics and kids out here, Davison rocks!! Okay now on a serious note I want to say...no I have to say THANK YOU for all you do! This year is a very trying year for Jacob and us as parents to see him struggle with putting on weight and wanting so badly for a varsity spot it means a lot to us that you have allowed him to wrestle varsity matches and getting him mat time. It means a world of difference to him that you his coaches believe he can wrestle at that level ,I know he probably hasn't shared his thoughts on this with you but he has shared them with us ,believe it or not Jacob is very loud and outspoken kid!! I have seen tremendous growth in his wrestling this year physically and most importantly mentally. I know we have the BEST coaches and am so excited to be a part of this program! P.S. I've noticed that you have lost some weight! Could you please share your secret with Jeff hahaha Thanks again Trevor for being a huge part of the boys life. Stephannie
ReplyDeleteTodd you did write a book, but it was a very nice book. Stephanie you had a lot of nice words to say and it does mean a lot. But I do have to say the kids and you guys as parents deserve all the credit. You parents have prepared your kids for the next level. You guys have made our jobs a lot easier by just having your kids ready.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, we as coachs wish we could see every kid wrestle but the way the sport is only 14 kids get to start. We are actually fortunate enough to have so many talented kids where we can throw them with the expectation that they can win any match and that is what Jacob does. We have had over the years many kids who where capable of being 1st and 2nd in the State Tournament. That is why Davison has had the teams that they have had over the years (because they have great workout partners).
P.s. Tell Jeff to stop eating and start working a couple times a day. (Thats my secret and the only way I know how to do it, Im sure there is a better secret out there somewhere.)
